Resumen:
A numerical model is presented to determine the bottom topographychanges in the nearshore area. The model is divided in three moduleswhich compute the wave propagation, the wind and waves inducedcurrents and the sediment transport and associated morphodynamicalchanges. Some examples extracted from the literature are employedto calibrate the model. The comparison shows that the model givesaccurate estimates of values and trends of bottom evolution under differenthydrodynamic conditions and therefore it can be a usefull tool forengineering purpouses.
