?The quality of water bodies has received increasing attention in recent years and has come to reformulate the concept of scarcity that only took into account the quantity or volume of water resources, together with recent studies of the effect of climate variability. The studies of the mixing processes, the pertinent measurements and the creation of a database for the generation of various possible resulting scenarios should be the support for the future decision making by the pertinent organisms in the subject. This work is made up of two parts. The first is the design, construction and installation of an automatic monitoring system (EML) in reservoirs, starting with San Roque, from which the existing database is completed. The second corresponds to the calibration of modern numerical models from the simulation of the algae bloom event of 2017. Both tasks is the beginning of a larger-scale project, which allows the diagnosis of the lakes and reservoirs of the Province of Córdoba in real time.
