Resumen:
Someresultson pollutantdispersionmodellingand tracer measurements for the MediterraneanSpanisbcoastare presented. Two bydrodynamic models bave been used to simulatewind and wave inducedcirculation inthe nearshoreand surf zones respectively.A "near field" modelbas been used in order to simulate the initialconditions for the local "far field" dispersionmodel. Two study cases are presented:The first one shows themixing of conservative tracers in a Mediterranean surf zone from an experimental and numerical modelsused to predict bactenal dispersionfrom the main sea outfalls of BarcelonaCity. The comparisonbetweendye dispersion experiments and model in the surf zone is good. wbile the outfall predictions show theimportanceof accuratelymodelhngthe effects of buoyancyon the plume.
