In this talk we present some recent results concerning the Gerstenhaber structure of the Hochschild cohomology groups of a monomial algebra.The aim is no find non-vanishing conditions for these structures.The tools we use are a convenient projective resolution and a comparison morphism between this resolution and the standard bar resolution.We prove several results in the particular case of string triangular algebras and quadratic string algebras.
