In our quest for global solutions of the marine fishery crisis there has been a tendency to identify prescriptive solutions for the different types of fisheries. But experience shows that context matter and involvement of the local actors is essential to identify solutions and to design effective governance structures that provide adequate feedback. The presentation discussed challenges involved in leveraging to increase the global impact of local results.
