Abstract: In this work we analyze the results of a didactic sequence (Arlego, Fanaro y Otero, 2012) for teaching different aspects of light in a unified framework and nontraditional way. It was carried out in two different secondary schools, during 2012 and 2013. The data analysis is based on all the students? productions and it was realised using the Theory of the Conceptual Fields (TCF) (Vergnaud, 1990, 2013). The proposal is especially careful using terms like "photon" and avoiding phrases like ?particles of light? or ?wave-particle duality?, that might be confuse for the students in a first stage. The goal is to propose the quantum theory of light as a unified and universal framework to describe different phenomena observed.
