This text presents and discusses some important aspects for the investigation in images in the Education in Sciences. One briefly describes the paper that has had the external images in the generation and communication of the scientific knowledge and the predominance that today have the images in the educative materials. The results of the investigation in mental images in Cognitive Psychology are analyzed and derivations for the investigation in images in the Sciences Education are formulated. Finally, some questions are formulated that orient and invite to make investigations in this field.
