Investigations in science education recurrently consider the introduction of concepts related to modern physics to the teaching at secondary school level. Nevertheless, the contributions about which concepts to teach are scarce and controversial because they focus on the convenience, or not,follow the strictly historical genesis and if the classical concepts have to be employed, or not, to introduce the quantum concepts. In this work we discuss a conceptual structure to teach the basis of quantum mechanics at high school level, from the perspective of Feynman?s path integrals approach (1965). We analyze the proposal based on this alternative approach and discuss its potentialities and limitations for Physics education.
