Resumen:
ABSTRACT In this paper it is described the knowledge on Mathematics of students entering University, from data taken during three academic years. Tests are analyzed and a categorization is built in order to describe the students´ cognitive situation and elaborate typologies. Exploratory Analysis techniques are used. The results show the institutional power of the tests and the relationship with students´ knowledge. A conception of a constructivist test is also discussed and implications for teaching are presented.
