Resumen:
CO2 plume imaging is a required step in CO2 geologicalstorage for both performance assessment and riskmanagement purposes. This work has been performed in theframe of the CO2CARE project, and its aim is to developtools and methodologies to monitor CO2 migration andverify the long-term well integrity after site abandonment. The timely detection of an anomaly is essential to performa suitable remediation. For this purpose, downhole toolsare permanently installed, but it is important to check theresolution and efficiency of the adopted techniques. Inparticular, this study investigates the possibility of usingelectrical resistivity tomography (ERT) to image CO2 migrationsaround observation boreholes through a sensitivity study.
