Resumen:
The problem of income inequality is one of the most discussed in Latin America. However, its relational and structural nature does not usually appear among studies in the field of standard economics. Through the study of a relevant dimension, such as the inequality that appears among workers belonging to different economic sectors, this text provides an analytical proposal that incorporates these characteristics. It is proposed to study the dynamics of capital, -particularly its sectoral benefits-, and union action as two sides of the same coin. These variables will make it possible to understand the upper and lower limits between which sector wages can vary and thus understand the continuous reproduction of disparities within the framework of capitalist competition.
