Resumen:
Inthis talk I clarify Wittgenstein?s position about the meaning oflife in his Tractatus, andthe related questionsabout the nonsensical and the ineffable. Thatis, if there is a question thatcannot be expressed, doesit mean that there is no answer to itorthat the answers are nonsensical? To answer thesequestions,I develop my arguments in three different parts: in thefirst one, I explain Wittgenstein?s thesis about the meaning oflife in his Tractatus, with an especial interest in theconcepts of nonsense and ineffability. In the second one, I go beyondWittgenstein?s explanation and refer to two possibleinterpretations of his theses: the resolute and the illuminatingones, regarding their plausibility and accuracy. Lastly, I providesome fictional examples to illustrate my explanation and to show, indirectly, what according to Wittgenstein cannot be said.
