Resumen:
One of the most successful authors and directors in postmigrant theatre, Yael Ronen (Jerusalem, 1976), works on her pieces using a collective method, which has the artistic dynamic of cultural ecologies. This ensemble not only generates an artistic representation of the text on stage, by means of interpretation and acting, but they also participate in the production of all stage pre-texts and they are also considered authors of the pieces. Also, Ronen?s theatre is closer to the documentary theatre tradition, which has a place of its own in the history of German-language theatre. In this presentation, we suggest that her reformulation of documentary theatre creates a more dynamic way of thinking history, an open-ended way (just like her collective composition method), favoring the interweaving of individual traumatic memories, which are displaced and suspended at the performance, into a multidirectional memory (Rothberg, 2009:13). Following this line of thought, this presentation examines two works by Ronen: Common Ground (2014) and The Situation (2015).
