Resumen:
The idea of this seminar was to explore the legacy of recent violent episodes in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru, and discuss the ways in which different artistic media are employed in Latin America in order to explore the nature of trauma and cultural memory.I am going to present now Mariano Corbacho?s film, ?70 y pico? a documentary in the first person in which the director undertakes a personal search to try to clarify some dark areas in the identity of his grandfather?s ?Pico? and its links with the last military dictatorship in Argentina. ?Pico? was Hector Corbacho, the designated dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires during the military rule.
