Resumen:
In the first part of this paper I will briefly reconstruct Bacon?s view on the preternatural, showing his closeness to Late Aristotelianism, and will point out some of its hermeneutical problems. In the second part I will explore the presence of preternatural instances in SS, trying to build a typology of them, and evaluate the role they play against the background of Bacon?s teratology.
