Resumen:
?In Spain, Manuel Vicent was the only one who wrote the word murdered in a small general essay about Lorca?. José Luis Vila-San Juan?s statement (1986, 809) should be enough to pay attention to the early biography Garcia Lorca, written by Manuel Vicent and published by espesa in 1969. The date of this publication, during late Francoism, invites us to inquire into the factors that made possible, during that historical period, a book dedicated to the life of the poet Federico García Lorca. At the same time, it becomes significant to inquire into the strategies that the author and the editors might have deployed in order to achieve the ?Authorized? from the State?s censorship. Starting from this approach, the purpose of this article is to investigate in three areas: the textual analysis of Manuel Vicent?s book; the examination of the expedient produced by the censorship; and the exploration of different books that show a contrastive point in relation to the treatment of Lorca as a writer particularly uneasy for the dictatorship.
