Resumen:
In the era of globalization in the 21st century, diversity is a driving force. At a global level, diversity is paramount in all fronts, namely historical, governmental, institutional, educational, linguistic, socioeconomic, and geographical, among many others. At the level of the individual, diversity in terms of ethnicity, gender, social class, educational, historical, and cultural backgrounds, religion, sexual orientation, physical appearance, special capacities, and many other factors, influences how they interact, respond, and learn in classrooms. From this perspective, diversity is a common trait of classrooms worldwide in these times. Latin America is no exception, as diversity flourishes within the amplitude of its land, and is portrayed, in its many forms, in each chapter in this book.
