Resumen:
Language teaching which includes teaching intercultural citizenship involves ethical responsibilities and has implications related to the purposes and content of language teaching as well as to the role and identity of teachers. This kind of teaching raises questions which language teachers do not usually meet. In this article we focus on some ethical and moral questions that need to be asked and challenges that need to be overcome. We illustrate some of the issues involved with the Green Kidz project in which Argentinian and Danish children engaged in communication using English as a foreign language and became politically engaged by which we mean that they developed their own ideas and commitments and became involved in public life in their communities.
