?International Scientific Collaborations in the End of the World: Local Resources and Global Research in Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire)?

The starting point of this paper is to conduct an analysis of international scientific collaborations, from a perspective that, unlike the celebratory or laudatory tone prevailing in various texts (eg, Sebastián, 2007) and, especially in political organizations, takes into account the different dimensions present in these relationships. Therefore, we've studied over fifty cases of international scientific collaborations conducted by CADIC (Austral Center for Scientific Research, Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego) researchers, in the fields of marine biology, geology, and biology / terrestrial ecology, and data were collected through a questionnaire and interviews with researchers involved international collaborations.
