Resumen:
Neurocognitive relational networks allow us to show how the phonological information is represented in the linguistic system of an individual. Such networks help us to account for the two following facts: (1) Phonological information is represented in two systems different systems: phonological recognition and phonological production, (2) the phonological systems are connected with the lexico-grammatical and the semantic systems. In addition, relational networks are neurologically plausible because they are compatible with what is known about the brain from neurosciences. This presentation will be supported by some examples provided by aphasiology, and also by the study of some anomalous phenomena that have been traditionally discarded but reveal very important information about the structure of the mental system which underlies our linguistic abilities (for example unintentional puns and Freudian slips).
