Resumen:
Although Sydney Lamb is now recognized as a neurolinguist, his questfor the actual nature of linguistic systems largely antedates his work in neurolinguistics. This paper offers a historical survey of the origins of Lamb?s theory, before matters of neurological implementation were even considered.
