Resumen:
Ring-opening homo- and co-polymerization reactions of e-caprolactone were performed by employing anionicpolymerization (high vacuum techniques) and lithium silanolates (LS) as initiators. LS were obtained by reactionbetween hexamethyl(cyclotrisiloxane) and sec-BuLiþ, or from living poly(dimethylsiloxanyl)lithium chains. The resultsindicated that LS are efficient initiators for the ring-opening polymerization of e-caprolactone, providing the respectivehomogeneous polymers in good yields.
