Resumen:
Bacillus licheniformis MIR 29 has been isolated and produce an alkaline thermostable protease. Growth temperature and pH was determined. Casein was the best carbon source for production of the alkaline protease, in wich, in some cases was 90% extracellular. The proteolytic activity was lowered by molecules present in the culture supernatant, wich include peptides and amino acids indicating end-product inhibition.
