Resumen:
? Meteorological phenomena are closely linked to the presence of watervapor. They mainly originate and develop in the troposphere, wherealmost all the atmospheric water is concentrated.? The Amazon basin (AB) region (roughly 0-20S and 75W-45W),constitutes the largest extent of tropical rainforest on Earth. Processesassociated to the generation of the regional precipitation are animportant heat source for the tropical atmosphere? The AB provides almost 15 % of the global water discharged by riversto the oceans.? We use precipitable water content (PW) and temperature (T) obtainedby GPS RO to study the variabilities in the climate signal over the ABand anomalies and possible long term trends.
