Resumen:
Currently, there are 64.6 Mha of soils eroded by water in19 Argentina, including 20.8 Mha that are severely eroded20 (Casas 2015). Water erosion is concentrated in the east of21 Argentina and associated with a humid climate (Fig. 17.1).22 Generally, high water erosion rates are related to river23 watersheds or landscapes with long slopes (Panigatti 2016).24 The water erosion risk is high in the northwestern sector of25 the country (Salta and Jujuy provinces), especially in the26 Bermejo River watershed. In the northeast, more than 80%27 of soils of Misiones are highly susceptible to water erosion28 (Orúe et al. 2007). In the humid Pampas, the more affected29 area is the central part of Entre Ríos, the south of Santa Fe,30 the east of Córdoba, and the north of Buenos Aires. In Entre31 Ríos, the water erosion risk is very high, as more than 75%32 of soils are prone to water erosion (Panigatti 2016). In this33 province, a rolling landscape, a predominance of Vertisols,34 and a high proportion of summer crops explain the high rates
