Resumen:
In the title compound (6-chloro-3-hydroxymethyl-2,2-dimethyl-5-oxo-2,3,6,6a-tetrahydro-5H-azeto [2,1-b]thiazole1,1-dioxide, C8H12C1NO4S), the 2-azetidinone ring isnon-planar. The thiazolidine ring has a conformationthat can be classified as C3, with 2~-CH3 pseudoequatorial,2/~-CH3 axial and 3a-R axial. The N atomhas a pyramidal bonding arrangement. The structureis stabilized by O--H...O hydrogen bonds along thedirection of the c axis.
