Resumen:
The purpose of this study was to compare results from contrast sensitivity using acomputerized system –FVC 100- and other based on chart –VCTS 6500-, both based ondiscrimination of grating orientation under photopic adaptation. In all, 45 eyes of 23 subjects/patients were tested in this study. The patients came to an Ophthalmological Service looking for newglasses, for checking the treatment in the case of people with glaucoma or other type of visualdiscomfort. As a conclusion we can say that considering the medical criterion from 23 patients (45eyes), with a visual problem well identify 16 are detected for both systems, 5 only for the FVC100(10 eyes) and 2 cases (3 eyes) this system does not detect the visual problem.
