Resumen:
The aim of this work is to evaluate the vibrational and structural properties of N-Acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC), and its electronic behavior mainly in relation to the action of the S-H and C=O groups at different degrees of solvation. One of the properties of N-acetylcysteine is the antioxidant effect extensively studied in experimental animal models and it is closely related to pesticide induced oxidative stress. Methyl Parathion affects the granular layer of the cerebellum by causing it to produce fewer cells and disorganization. The use of antioxidants such as N-acetyl-cysteine, NAC, attenuates neuronal damage. NAC vibrational and structural properties are reported in this work as part of our structural, conformational and vibrational studies of cysteine derivatives.
