Presencia del hongo tóxico Amanita gemmata (Agaricales, Basidiomicetes) en la costa bonaerense

Summary: Presence of the toxic mushroom Amanita gemmata (Agaricales, Basidiomycetes) in the coast of Buenos Aires. Two collections of Amanita gemmata found in the coast of the province of Buenos Aires are here described and illustrated. The species was found growing in association with trees of Pinus pinaster. A comprehensive revision of the genus Amanita for Argentina is given here, and the symptoms of the intoxication caused by the ingestion of this species are extensively explained. This is the first record of Amanita gemmata for Argentina. Amanita gemmata (Agaricales, Basidiomycetes) in the coast of Buenos Aires.
