Resumen:
A theoretical study of a monolithic reactor for the catalytic oxidation of Volatile OrganicCompounds (VOC) over a Mn-Cu mixed oxide catalyst is presented. A non-isothermal onedimensionalheterogeneous model is selected to account for the internal (washcoat) mass transportlimitations and external (gas-solid) mass and heat transport limitations. The performance of anadiabatic monolithic reactor and its ability for VOCs abatment is analized, considering the effect ofthe main design variables as well as the distribution of the catalytic material inside the channels.
