Resumen:
Dimerization of Furane neo-clerodanes acts as nitric oxide scavenger during UV-B radiation in Baccharis flabellata Matias Funes, Carlos E. Tonn, Marcela Kurina Sanz INTEQUI-CONICET, Facultad de Química Bioquímica y Farmacia, Universidad Nacional de San Luis For many years has been reported about the properties possessed by Furane neo-clerodanes (FNC) for example antitumor, antifeedant, anti-inflammatory and anti-ulcerative activities [ - ]. However there is not any information about the role of these compounds in regulation of species used by plants as signaling during UV-B stress condition. Through the spring and summer months have been recollected samples from aerial parts of Baccharis flabellate (BF) which contain different proportions of FNC and his dimer FNCD. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as superoxide anion (O2.-) or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and Nitric oxide (NO) acts as mediators in responses to excessive UV-B radiation over different organelles, for example chloroplasts, into cells plants. These radicals are involved as central signaling molecules in a wide range of physiological processes in plants. In this work we have studied FNC and DFNC as regulators of different signaling species, principally NO and O2.- in (BF).
