Resumen:
In this work, we present a core-type solution, the balanced core, for games with non transferable utilities. The elements in the balanced core are pairs (x, B) of vectors and balanced families of coalitions. It extends the notion of the classical core, in the sense, it ”contains” the core on the non-levelled games and ”coincides” with this on the class of non-levelled and balanced games. The balanced core is always non-empty. We provide an axiomatic characterization of the balanced core in terms of the three classical axioms used by Peleg (1985) to characterize the classical core (with appropriate modifications to adapt them to the new framework), plus an additional one, the axiom of Independence of Irrelevant Alternatives.
