Resumen:
A general method for constructing wavelet-like bases in a Hilbertspace $\mathcal{H}$ starting from any orthonormal basis in$\mathcal{H}$ and any periodic orthonormal wavelet basis ispresented. With this method we can take advantage of thecharacteristics of both types of bases to obtain orthonormalwavelet-like bases that are suitable to represent functions andoperators efficiently.
