Resumen:
With the ultimate aim of linking the rheological properties of red blood cells with clinical aspects, creep experiments are conducted in a diffractometric setup. The photometric readings are obtained by ektacytometry over several millions of shear-elongated erythrocytes, using a homemade device called "erythrodeformeter". Whereas the rise pattern of the creep curves is incompatible with classical viscoelaticity models, it is adequately accounted for by models resorting to fractional calculus, for parameters typical of living matter.
