Resumen:

A partir de este poster, con algunos cambios, surgío un proceeding (LONGITUDINAL FIELDS IN KERR MEDIA) An evolution equation for electromagnetic waves in Kerr media, taking into account fields along the direction of propagation is performed. Effects on pattern formation inside a ring cavity are analyzed, relevant variables are discussed and numerical integrations are performed. It is found out that although the field along the propagation direction is small, it is not symmetric about rotations, and it may determine which orientation is taken by the pattern.
