Resumen:
We present an overview on the production of high energy astrophysical neutrinos associated with cosmic-rays and with very high energy gamma-ray sources. We begin by describing the physical processes relevant for neutrino emission in astrophysical environments. Then we discuss on the cosmic ray–neutrino connection for the diffuse flux of astrophysical neutrinos, and the cosmogenic neutrinos. As for the main candidate point sources, we describe a model for neutrino emission in the jets of active galactic nuclei, we discuss on neutrino emission gamma-ray bursts and supernova remnants, and we also address the case microquasars. We finish with some comments onthe future of neutrino astrophysics.
