Resumen:
We develop a computational tool to simulate the social network of a real urban area. Employing data from the census, we generate an artificial population with the same demographical statistics than the real population. Using the social network as the underlying substrate for transmission, we model the propagation of a disease on the virtual city. We consider a baseline scenario where no interventions are made and compare the impact of different mitigation strategies on the evolution of the spreading process.
