Resumen:
We develop a computational tool to simulate the social network of a real urban area.Employing data from the census, we generate an artificial population with the same demographicalstatistics than the real population. Using the social network as the underlying substrate fortransmission, we model the propagation of a disease on the virtual city. We consider a baselinescenario where no interventions are made and compare the impact of different mitigationstrategies on the evolution of the spreading process.
