This presentation seeks to discuss the return of industrial and Technology policy to Argentina during the early 2000 years. Between 2003 and 2015 industrial and technology policy came back to Argentina after three decades (dɛkeɪd) of absence. Although this experience was truncated in 2016, it is useful to discuss it in order to take some lessons. As we will see this return was not the result of a systematic industrial and technology plan. It was the policy response to long-lasting structural imbalances where the scarcity of foreign currency is the main symptom.  It is worth asking if this experience enabled some sort of articulation between technology and industrial policies.
