EL SISTEMA FERROVIARIO ARGENTINO. SITUACIÓN ACTUAL Y PERSPECTIVAS The argentinean railway system. Current situation and perspectives Arq. Ms. Pu y R Mariana Schweitzer CONICET-CEUR Resumen Este trabajo se plantea como objetivos aproximarnos a las transformaciones del sistema ferroviario que se vienen desarrollando en los últimos años, entendiendo que las mismas contribuyen a la organización y  funcionamiento del territorio. Para ello se parte de una mirada de la situación del sistema ferroviario hasta principios de siglo, para luego ver los avances que se fueron realizando en estos últimos cinco años, que abarcan desde la recuperación de algunas concesiones, leyes y decretos sectoriales que pretenden la recuperación del ferrocarril, la reactivación de algunos ramales hasta la realización del Plan Estratégico Territorial, para luego identificar cuáles son los proyectos que tienen avances concretos, en proceso de licitación, adjudicados o realizándose, y que incluyen desde la electrificación de ramales, rehabilitación y construcción de nuevos trazados, hasta la introducción de tecnologías de altas velocidades y altas prestaciones ferroviarias, con las diferentes implicancias para los territorios que derivan de estas decisiones. Finalmente se reflexiona sobre el la situación actual y sobre la tendencia que se viene desarrollando en materia de política ferroviaria. Abstract This paper has the goal to analyse the transformation in the railway system that is occurring in the last years, understanding that they contribute to the shape and functioning of the territory For this, it is consider the railway system since the beginning of the century, to take a look later after that, the advance achieved in the last five years, including the recovering of some concession, laws and sector decrees seeking the recovering of the railway, the reactivation of others sections, until the development of the Strategic Territorial Plan, for then, identify which are the projects with concrete advances, in tendering process and which include since line electrification, rehabilitation and building of new lines and high railway services, with its different aftermath for the territories resulting of such decisions.    Finally, it is included a thought on the current situation and the trends growing up in terms of railway policies.
