Resumen:
This paper discusses the modeling and simulation of a grid-connected wind turbine generator (WTG). The model proposed of the wind generating system is based on a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). The detailed modeling approach is carried out by using SimPowersSystems of MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation analysis is performed for validating the methodology applied and components used. The main components of the WTG include the wind turbine, the synchronous generator and the power conditioning system (PCS) for connecting the device to the electric grid.
