Resumen:
The aim of this document is to spread the State of the Art of electrical systems based on microgrids. This in concomitance with the improvement and positioning that this technology has achieved in electrical systems. Currently, there is a growing number of microgrid systems being implemented around the world. The growth of this technology is motivated by the access and universality of the efficient electrical energy consumption, subject to the use of environmentally friendly primary energy resources and the reduction of the use of fossil fuels for electricity generation. The methodological review has been carried out on the basis of definitions, characteristics, classification, distributed generation technologies and operational issues faced by microgrid systems. In addition, possible solutions to these problems of microgrids and research and development requirements in relation to this technology are presented.
