Resumen:
Sumary Thispresentation analysis and describes the frame of the development of atechnological vanguard of beginning of 20th century, where the technologicalinnovations are the ones who promote the most important changes on residentialarchitecture, industrial works and infrastructure. The high seismicity on CuyoRegion (San Juan and Mendoza) speeded the evolution on the constructiontechnology compared to the other Argentinian provinces. At the end of XIXcentury and beginning of XX, the new materials and constructive systems couldappear to temper the destructive effects of earthquakes. Many constructioncompanies started offering earthquake resistant constructions. The ones whosucceeded where the ones that promoted reinforced concrete as structural use,building residential two floor homes. Public buildings and Mendocinian wineriespools that still remain at the present moment. In the Argentina of thebeginning of XX century the earthquake resistant construction is relatedovercome the problems of using imported good like steel and concrete that wereimported from abroad.
