Resumen:
We are interested in the manifestos production practices as they occurred in the framework of Latin American Philosophy of Liberation, which was neither monolithic nor uniform regarding its theoretical practices and public statements. We characterize the manifesto production practice as a form of written expression that translates a self-identification action from ?us?, following some action program tending to overcome the dissatisfaction with standardized uses, and appealing to knowledge and methodologies unrecognized by current regulations. The efficacy of such knowledge depends as much on its inner coherence as on its emotional motivation, and it takes diverse shapes over the common background of an unsatisfying present, from where the construction of the social-historical identity is questioned while exorcising the past and founding new genealogies. From this perspective we review a set of writings produced during the debates that originated the Latin American philosophy of liberation between 1973 and 1975, which will be named as Founding Manifestos of the philosophy of liberation in order to distinguish them from other set of writings of later production when reviewing original positions in certain specific contexts, which will be called New Manifestos of philosophy of liberation.
