Resumen:
Sustainable architecture seeks to work with buildings in order to reduce the impact on the environment, either through a reduction in energy consumption and/or the production of energy through the integration of thermal or photovoltaic solar systems. In temperate continental climates there is a situation of high daily temperature range, low relative humidity, high clearness and low temperatures in winter and high daily temperature range, high solar radiation, combined with high temperatures in summer. In these climates, the incorporation of a greenhouse as a passive solar system, it is not advised because they might win a lot of solar heat, mainly in the intermediate season and it is usually excessive for the needs of the buildings. This paper examines the possibility of PSSG inclusion in buildings in general presenting advantages and disadvantages, and also analyzing a case that incorporates itin a solar house. Data related to annual energy consumption for heating is included. The incorporation of the greenhouse generates savings in the order of 18% and the annual specific consumption figure is 64.8 kWh/m2.yr. Thermal situation is analysed in winter, summer and the intermediate seasons. It is interesting to note that the greenhouse provides solar energy to the adjacent space and the temperature in the adjacent space is within comfort parameters in winter and the intermediate season. In summer greenhouse temperatures are very close to ambient temperatures, especially if it is possible to ventilate it in order to remove the heat. In addition, users indicate that is a very interesting space to stay during the day during in winter; and in summer is very pleasant to see the sky at sunset and the starry sky at night. Another moment to use it in summer is for breakfast.
