Resumen:
We determined the capacity of Malbec grape pomace (GPE), containing high amount of polyphenols, to modulate imflamation and proteins related mitochondrial biogenesis in adipose tissue from spontaneously hypertensive rats receinving a high-fat diet and in primary cultures of rat adipocytes. GPE can stimulate the expression of protein involved in mitochondrial biogenesis and may protect against diet-induced adipose dysfunction supporting the utilization of winemaking residues in human health due to their high amount of bioactive compounds.
