Resumen:
This work analyses the movements of debris covered glacier. The Horcones Inferior glacier (HIG) is located at 32ï 41’ S and 69ï 57’ W in the Provincial Park Aconcagua, Mendoza, Argentina, on the foot of the Aconcagua massif. Through Horcones River, HIG which is part of a group of glaciers, provides water to the basin of the Mendoza River. This river is the most important water resource for the economic development of the northern oasis of the Province of Mendoza. For this study, a semi-permanent station GNSS was established on the surface of the terminal part of the glacier. This is the only project that has been conducted on HIG and the first time data are generated from this GNSS direct method.
