Resumen:
The HBV (Hydrologiska Byråns Vattenbalansavdelning) model is one of the most used hydrological modelsaround the world due to its robustness, simplicity and good results all over 40 years (Bergström and Lindström,2015). Depsite this fact the available versions impose certain limits for research studies in mountain watershedsdominated by ice-snow melt runoff (i.e.: no glacier module, limited elevation bands, amongst others). In this workwe introduce the first Argentinian version of the model, HBV-IANIGLA. In this research purpose version we haveadded to the four original modules of the model, a glacier module to simulate clean and debris cover ice. The origi-nal aspects of this version are: (1) the modules have been independently conceived, so the user can build his/her ownmodel; (2) we have written the code in C++ and compiled it to run in R, a free high-level language with world-widediffusion. We complement this poster with examples for debris cover and debris free glaciers and for the Tupungatobasin (located in the north of Mendoza province, Argentina).
