Resumen:
Withing the last year several climate time series based on different kind of historical information have been produced in South America. The lack of overlap`periodsof documentation data with instrumental measurements leads to the implicationthat those time series can not be calibrated and therefore not be used for quantitative climate reconstructions. The aim of this study is to prolong the existing documentary record to the 20th century.
