Resumen:
The Andes Precordillera in Argentina is characterized by a Cambrian–Ordovician carbonatic succession of 2200 metres thick, distributed 400 kilometres long in a north–south direction with approximately 60 kilometres in width. Five geologic formations are included that are composed of marls, marly limestones, limestones, dolomitic limestone and dolostones.
